On September 23, 2009, the Sejm examined for the first time the draft amendment   to the Act on VAT as drawn up by the Sejm’s committee “Friendly State” [Przyjazne paÅ„stwo]. The draft provides for introduction of a simplified procedure for recording in accounting books of such expenses as, i.a., parking fees or taxi fees. Presently, in order to record such expenses in accounting books it is necessary to have a VAT invoice, what might sometimes prove to be pretty inconvenient.
