On 20th of October 2009 the Government adopted the Regulation referring to the so called “National system of green investments”. In the Regulation such programmes and projects have been described which aim at reducing the energy consumption and the demand for final the energy in the Polish economy, as well as promotion of renewable energy sources. Such activities will be financed from the “National system of green investments”. The measures from this system will be designated i.a. for improvement of energetic efficiency, renewable energy sources and recycling and usage of methane.
These programmes and projects are elements of the power and climate package implemented in Poland, which in accordance with the EU requirements, assume reduction of greenhouse gas emission till the year 2020.
The Regulation comes into force after 14 days from the date of the publication in the Journal of Law.
