Speakers

Michał Mazurek

PhD in Economics and graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics, specializing in growth theory and public expenditure analysis. He has built his 18-year professional career in the banking sector, advancing through various analytical roles. Currently, he serves as Chief Economist, responsible for key macroeconomic forecasts and market analysis. He is a recognized expert who seamlessly combines deep academic knowledge with extensive market practice.

Marzena Zahlin

SPCC Board Member
Vice-Chairperson of the Swedish Section Board

She has long experience in management/board positions in financial institutions, corporate and retail banking. She has spent most of her professional career in corporate banking; experienced in greenfield projects and change management. For the past 10 years, she has worked as General Manager of Handelsbanken in Poland. Involved in the activities of the Polish Bank Association (Chairwoman/Vice-Chairwoman of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee of PBA). Originator and co-founder of the Women in Finance organization, which works to create sectoral standards for gender equality. A mentor and social activist, she is involved in projects that strengthen civil socjety standards. She values creativity and multidisciplinarity.

Michał Popiołek

Managing Director for Global and Investment Banking

A graduate of Finance and Banking at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and IESE Business School in Barcelona. For nearly 30 years he has been working in the investment banking sector, of which 25 years in mBank. Initially, he was responsible for capital investments. In 2006, he initiated and developed a new area of mBank’s activity – Mezzanine Finance. Two years later, he took the position of the Director of the Structural Financing Department and Mezzanine, managing a portfolio of structural financing worth several billion zlotys. In 2017 he was appointed Managing Director for Global and Investment Banking. He is also a member of the Supervisory Boards of the Vectra Group and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of mInvestment Banking.

Michał Kuklewski

Michał began his career within the company in 1998 and has since held various roles in Sales, Marketing and Commercial, within incontinence and medical business areas, both locally and regionally.
Before he became a VP, Michal led the Polish Health and Medical organisation, contributing to TENA – one of Essity’s top brands – growth on the local market.
Currently, he holds the position of VP Sales & Marketing CEE in the Health and Medical Business Unit.
As Chairman of the Essity Polish Country Management Board, he leads the work of the Country Management Team. He also represents both Essity entities in Poland: the Essity Oława site and the Essity business office in Warsaw.

Tomasz Guzowski

An expert in the renewable energy sector with over 20 years of experience in the development and management of renewable energy projects. Actively involved in shaping legislative processes in the field of wind energy in Poland. As President of OX2 Poland, he is responsible for expanding OX2’s operations in Poland and for cooperation with key business partners, with the aim of supporting the country’s energy transition.

Tomasz Szczęsny

Manager – Data Poland / Global Data & Integration
Tieto Tech Consulting

Graduate of Business Management at the Warsaw University, European Studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and the Executive MBA at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and Gdansk University. An experienced manager with over 15 years of expertise in leading complex projects, building teams aiming to effectively integrating business and technology. Currently, as the head of the Data team in Poland, Tomasz supports clients from around the world in building competitive advantage driven by data accessibility and information retrieval.
