Lech Walesa airport in Gdansk is the 3rd biggest airport in the country and is a part of a global transport system. Considering huge dynamic in growth of the number of serviced passengers airport invested over half of a billion polish zloty in recent years. Thanks to the new Terminal, taxi ways and aprons the capacity of the airport increased several times. One of the new investments was also developing arrival function in New Terminal and raising airport’s ILS to 2nd category. Opening the new PKM train connection to the city center makes the Gdansk Airport a model European transport hub.

SAS Scandinavian Airlines announce opening another new direct route between Poland and Scandinavia in 2016. On Thursday, 25 March 2016 the direct SAS route between Stockholm and Gdańsk will be launched.
