Myth of new normality?
We would like to forget about the pandemic and look for the "new normality". However, Prof. PÅ‚oszajski warn us, that the vision of simple change of old reality for new one, even though the vision might feel tempting it's wrong. "There will be a transitional period, full of anxiety, chaotic, full of success and defeats, which didn't suppose to happen.
COVID is a global crisis of our civilization, the first crush test of its kind that we have to face.
Our world is a deeply complex system. The individual elements interact with each other in different ways, and a small disruption in the tangled causal network can have enormous consequences on a global scale. For example, a bat is eaten by a Wuhan resident. The sooner we realize that we are the part of complex system, the better.
Today, for managers, the ability to notice small changes in the environment is more important than following trends. Many companies, in response to the current crisis, started to work on new strategies, when creating them, it is worth taking your eyes off the "center of the picture" and also looking at the periphery so as not to overlook "weak signals" that can dramatically change reality.
Thank you for an inspiring meeting!
