The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki met with the largest bilateral chambers of commerce operating in Poland.

On 11th of March the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development  Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki met with representatives of the thirteen bilateral chambers of commerce – American, British, Belgian, French, Spanish, Irish, Canadian, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Italian, Swiss and Scandinavian, who was chairing this meeting.  The chambers together associate more than 3500 companies that provide around 1.5 million workplaces in Poland.

The meeting was an opportunity to learn more about the plans and priorities connected with the Responsible Development Plan announced by Prime Minister recently, as well as to present the bilateral chambers and investors from the member companies.

While presenting the priorities, Deputy Prime Minister Morawiecki emphasized the importance of increasing competitiveness of Polish companies and encouraging them to operate more actively abroad. Another important issue mentioned was creating equal opportunities for companies operating in Poland with special focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the role of innovations and commercialization of innovative solutions and its impact on fostering economic growth and learning from good practices of already innovative economies.

Deputy Prime Minister answered questions, concerning among others the renewable energy policy, further existence and role of the economic zones, tenders’ conditions in the construction sector, mining licenses as well as developing vocational education and other matters important for entrepreneurs who are doing business in Poland. The role of communication with investors was emphasized as the key to a good cooperation and sustaining Polish atractiveness for the future foreign investors.

Participants of the meeting expressed their willingness for continuation of the established dialogue and cooperation.
