On February 23, Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre.
The talks took place at the Dęba-Lipa Land Forces Training Range, where Polish-Norwegian military cooperation is practically implemented and Ukrainian soldiers are being trained.
The heads of government discussed further strengthening the strategic relations between the countries -particularly in the areas of industrial and defense cooperation, which are already very strong. The meeting also confirmed that Poland and Norway share similar views on the current geopolitical situation and a common vision for regional security.
On January 30 of this year, a consortium was established, comprising the Polish Armaments Group and the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. The consortium will be responsible for the development of the system—delivering 18 battery modules of air defense systems with the capability to counter unmanned aerial systems.
