Deputy Minister Jan Szyszko and Chair of the Financial Mechanisms Committee Kristin Hansen signed agreements to launch the first five programmes, including the largest one in the 4th edition of the Funds – the Local Development Programme.
The Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy will manage EUR 772 million (out of a total of EUR 925 million). These funds will be invested through eight programmes. They will be administered by so-called operators, i.e. Polish public institutions, while the overall supervision will rest with the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy. The Ministry will also act as the operator of the Local Development Programme.
The agreements signed on 4 February concern five out of the eight programmes:
- Local Development (operator: Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy),
- Culture (Ministry of Culture and National Heritage),
- Green Business and Innovation (Polish Agency for Enterprise Development – PARP),
- Basic Research (National Science Centre – NCN),
- Applied Research and Innovation (National Centre for Research and Development – NCBR).
The following programmes will be signed at a later stage:
- Green Transformation (Ministry of Climate and Environment),
- Justice (Ministry of Justice),
- Home Affairs (Ministry of the Interior and Administration).
