About Ericsson

Ericsson is a global company, founded in Stockholm in 1876 by Lars Magnus Ericsson. Ericsson provides services and support to telecommunications operators. The company operates in 175 countries. In Poland, the first Ericsson telephone exchange was launched in Warsaw in 1904. The company’s products include fixed and mobile network infrastructure, broadband internet, and multimedia solutions.

Ericsson has two research and development centers in Poland, in Łódź and Kraków, and employs nearly 2,000 engineers responsible for the development of Ericsson’s ICT products used worldwide.

Ericsson Sp. z o.o. is implementing the re_d: rethink digital – Central Poland Digitalisation Hub project, which is co-financed by the European Commission under the Digital Europe Programme 2021-2027 and co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for a Modern Economy Programme 2021-2027, Priority II, Innovation-friendly Environment, Measure 2.22 “Co-financing of EDIH activities.”

We are implementing the Digital Transformation Hub project in cooperation with the Łódź Special Economic Zone (Łódzka Specjalna Strefa Ekonomiczna S.A.) and with partners representing research and development centers, established businesses, and young technology companies: ICsec, Leads, Lodz University of Technology, Red Ivy, the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Lodz Institute of Technology, and the Digital Poland Association.
