Stora Enso is playing with the WOŚP for the 27th time!

The piggy banks produced by Stora Enso are an integral part of the Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.

In connection with the 33. In the final, we printed 230 thousand cans, and in total, during the 27 years of cooperation between Stora Enso and the WOŚP Foundation, it is a total of 3.8 million piggy banks.

55.84% – exactly this part of the total collected as part of the 32. The final funds were payments to characteristic cardboard cans. Stora Enso has been manufacturing and sponsoring piggy banks for 27 years.

Volunteers around the world (120 thousand people) invest with them, but they can also be found in retail chains, service premises and various types of public facilities that join the action.

Cans used under the 33. Finale, were prepared at the Stora Enso Packaging Production Plant in Mosina and their official presentation took place here as well. For the third time in history, three graphic designs of piggy banks have been created – separate for volunteers and for two retail chains that will collect money in their stores.

“We are extremely honored to be part of this great project that puts the well-being of people and our planet first. Together with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, we have been changing the reality around us for the better for 27 years”

– Tomasz Żebrowski, President of the Management Board of Stora Enso Poland SA

Production with attention to detail

The characteristic hexagonal cans are manufactured in accordance with the values of the Stora Enso brand, from renewable, recyclable materials using cardboard based on recycled paper. Thanks to this, the piggy bank serves not only people, but also the entire planet.

The cans are made of corrugated cardboard based on recycled paper, and vegetable oil-based inks are used for printing, which makes the piggy banks recyclable.

The cans in their current size (230 mm x 60 mm) have been in use since 2005, after increasing their capacity by 13% in response to the generosity of donors.
